BMW 530xi – all wheels turning

For an extra $2000 you can send power to all four wheels in the new 525 and 530 sedans from BMW coming to the U.S. in the spring. The 530 wagon will get the xDrive system standard. The only downside is that BMW does not have plans to add the option to the V-8 powered 545i though the 525 and 530 get the new 3.0-liter engines from the 3-Series that make 215hp/185 lb-ft and 255hp/220 lb-ft respectively. Inside Line was able to throw the xi’s through the snow in Finland and was happy with the results (helped by aftermarket snow tires) on both snow and ice.
