JACKSONVILLE, FL -- People on the First Coast had a
great reason to test drive a new BMW Monday. They
were helping to raise money for breast cancer
research.
Tom Bush BMW at Regency on Atlantic Blvd. teamed up
with the North Florida Affiliate of the Susan G.
Omen Breast Cancer Foundation for the Ultimate Drive
event.
"This is the ninth consecutive year that we've
participated in this particular event, and each year
we raise over a million dollars," said Arthur Smith
at Tom Bush BMW.
Two groups of 19 specially decorated BMW's travel
the country for people to test drive. The Series
3,5,6,7, X3 and X5 BMW's have pink ribbons on them.
"All of the participants can drive a new BMW of
their choice and for every mile they drive, BMW will
donate $1 to the Susan G. Omen Breast Cancer
Foundation," Smith explained.
He says Tuesday's event was a success, "In the nine
years that we've been doing it, this is one of the
best ever."
The 19 cars are heading to Savannah, GA after the
event on the First Coast.
